The nearest airport to the city of Las Vegas is called McCarran International Airport and is about a 5 mile drive away from the city centre. If you are a permanent resident of the United Kingdom then you will not need a visa to enter the United States, as you can enter the country using their visa waiver programme, known as the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (or ESTA for short). The cost to obtain an ESTA is $14 per person, which is approximately £9 per person, and gives you permission to enter the United States for a period of up to 90 days.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises that all travellers to the United States should have a passport that is valid for the duration of their stay within the country.

You will obviously be wanting to make sure that you get the best deals for your Las Vegas flights, accommodation and car hire. One of the easiest ways of doing this is by using travel comparison websites such as Kayak, booking.com, Expedia and Skyscanner. These websites will search a number of providers based on your holiday dates.

In terms of transportation, there is a public transport system in Las Vegas, but the best way of checking out all of the sites is to hire a car, especially if you feel like getting away from it all for a day and having a blast up through the Nevada desert!
